Wiring the layout

Published by pbtrains under Construction Edit This

The wiring portion of the construction process was one that scared me the most.  I don’t know much about electricity and with this being such a large layout things were bound to go wrong.  I wanted to use DCC ( that is another story ) so I divided the layout into 4 even sections.  My intentions were to run a bus wire from the spot where the DCC would be located, and from the bus run feeder wires about every 3 feet.  Getting frustrated with the slow soldering process, I soon changed it to every 6 feet. This appeared to be fine because I was just using a old transformer and a walk around throttle. I thought I was doing fine until the DCC was hooked up.
